Assistant Professor Kaoru Ota received 2018 The 13th IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Young Researcher Award

Assistant Professor Kaoru Ota with Department of Information and Electronic Engineering at Muroran Institute of Technology (Muroran-IT) received 2018 The 13th IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Young Researcher Award in recognition of significant research achievements.

This award honors young researchers under 35 years old who are working on ICT research in the Asia Pacific region. The award is given to researchers with recent impressive achievements by IEEE Communications Society (Comsoc). There have been only 8 recipients from Japanese institutions/universities since 2001 and it is the first time for Japanese female researcher to get this award. In 2017, Associate Professor Mianxiong Dong with Department of Information and Electronic Engineering at Muroran-IT received this award and Assistant Professor Ota is the second recipient from our institute.
